10/29 St. Pauls Trunk-or-Treat

We had a SPOOKtacular time at our first Trunk-or-Treat with St Paul United Church of Christ! We welcomed more than 200 guests, painted dozens of happy faces, and handed out more than 2,500 sugary snacks. Guests enjoyed performances and sneak peeks from our upcoming season from our performance team and some tiny trick or treaters even jumped on stage to join us.
We couldn't be more proud of our amazing volunteers, SPARKs and families! We love our Tower Grove Community!

St. louis Children's Hospital

EVERY day I am proud of our SPARKs, but today watching members of the DTLMJ cast perform for the patients and Families at St. Louis Children’s Hospital overwhelmed me. I saw people come out of their rooms and watch from windows overlooking the courtyard, I saw doctors and hospital staff extend their lunch a little longer to catch more of the show, and I saw faces light up when the SPARKs singing echoed through the hospital. I saw Peyton overcome initial trepidation to show other patients it CAN get better. You CAN sing and dance again-even through cancer treatments. We don’t usually do star students for performances but today, Peyton was a star. A brave, bold, boss SPARK who knows sometimes what makes the most impact isn’t always the easiest choice.
These Kids are great performers but truly, they are remarkable people. A huge thank you to all our performers for taking time out of your school day to participate in this amazing afternoon.
